Left-turn lanes into Clark Hall and KEMBA Financial Credit Union on North Hamilton Road in Gahanna will periodically close this weekend during traffic signal work.
Crews will improve signal infrastructure on North Hamilton Road, north of Havens Corners Road, on Saturday, Nov. 7, and Sunday, Nov. 8, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, according to a city traffic alert posted Nov. 4.
During the work, left-turn lanes into Clark Hall, the businesses that share its parking lot and KEMBA Financial Credit Union will be periodically closed.
How to get there
Drivers heading to Clark Hall and nearby businesses can still reach them from southbound North Hamilton Road or the entrance off Granville Street, the city said.
KEMBA Financial Credit Union will be accessible from northbound North Hamilton Road.
The city asked drivers to use caution when traveling through the area and watch for crews working along the roadway.
Part of a broader upgrade push
Separately, Gahanna is planning signal upgrades across the city. Senior Director of Operations Kevin Schultz told a Sept. 28 Committee of the Whole meeting that the city has 41 signalized intersections. The Department of Public Service developed a phased plan to upgrade them over several years, Schultz said, according to committee minutes.
The city's 2027–2031 Capital Improvement Plan includes a Hamilton Road urban paving project covering Hamilton Road from the southern municipal boundary near Tech Center Drive north to Havens Corners Road.
Drivers who need to reach Clark Hall or KEMBA Financial Credit Union on Saturday or Sunday should plan to approach from the alternate directions listed above.
