The Gahanna Lincoln boys soccer team opens its 2026 regular season Aug. 15, hosting Hayes at 7 p.m. in what will be the program's first full fall campaign in the new high school building.
The Golden Lions released their 16-game schedule Aug. 13, through the official Gahanna Lincoln Athletics account on X. The announcement comes as the school defends back-to-back OCC All-Sports titles across all programs.
Gahanna Lincoln finished 9-5-4 overall and 4-0-1 in conference play last season, going unbeaten in OCC play, according to MaxPreps.
The Lions have already been on the pitch this preseason. They tied Upper Arlington 1-1 on Aug. 7 and fell to St. Charles 0-3 on Aug. 11 in scrimmages, per the school's athletics website.
Early schedule
After the Hayes opener, the Lions travel to Dublin Coffman on Aug. 18 for a 7:15 p.m. kickoff. They return home to host Olentangy Orange on Aug. 25 at 7:30 p.m.
The full 16-game slate runs through the fall, though specific dates beyond late August were not available in the published schedule data.
Building on last year
The 4-0-1 conference mark from 2025-26 gives the Lions a strong foundation heading into OCC play this fall. The program's most notable achievement remains its 2009 OHSAA state championship, won in a penalty kick shootout.
This is the second Gahanna Lincoln soccer program to kick off its fall season this week. The girls team, coming off a state runner-up finish, hosts Reynoldsburg on Friday, Aug. 14, as we reported Aug. 12.
All home games are played at 140 S. Hamilton Rd. in Gahanna. Fall sports passes are on sale for the 2026-27 season.
