The Gahanna Lincoln Golden Lions girls soccer team is back on the pitch, opening its 2026 fall campaign with momentum from a state runner-up finish last season, according to the school's athletics department.
Head coach David Merrick's squad scrimmaged at Dublin Coffman on Wednesday, Aug. 12, and will host Reynoldsburg on Friday, Aug. 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the first regular-season home match of the year. The Lions already played their schedule opener against Olentangy Berlin on Thursday, Aug. 6.
The season is underway.

The program enters the fall riding a wave of athletic success across Gahanna Lincoln. The school claimed its second consecutive OCC All-Sports Ralph Young Award for 2025-26, posting 11 first-place finishes across all sports, according to a Gahanna Lincoln Athletics Facebook post.
Merrick, who also runs the Little Lions Soccer Skills youth program at Blacklick Athletic Complex for players ages U9-13, returns for another season leading the varsity program. No roster or returning-player information has been released publicly.
