Maroon 5 and The Lumineers will headline a New Albany music festival on Sept. 18, opening a fall calendar that offers residents at least ten community events across September and October.

The lineup, published Aug. 27 in CityScene Magazine's Healthy New Albany calendar, spans art openings, DogFest, a sensory-friendly concert series at the Jeanne B. McCoy Community Center for the Arts and two Halloween gatherings for families.

The Challenge Music Festival — Sept. 18

The biggest ticketed event is The Challenge, Abercrombie & Fitch Co.'s annual music festival and mental-health fundraiser at the company's Global Home Office, 7907 Central College Rd. The Friday, Sept. 18 show runs 5–11 p.m. and features two live music stages plus food and drink from local vendors, according to a GlobeNewswire press release from the company.

Oktoberfest — Oct. 3

Oktoberfest returns to Rose Run Park, 200 Market St., on Oct. 3 from noon to 10 p.m. City public-service crews supported last year's event by setting up tents, tables, a decorative wall and a water station, according to the city's October 2025 monthly report. Programming details for the 2026 edition have not been announced.

Trunk or Treat and Trick or Treat

New Albany Parks and Recreation hosts the sixth annual Trunk or Treat on Oct. 24 from 3–6 p.m. at Bevelhymer Park, 7860 Bevelhymer Rd. The 2025 edition drew close to 2,000 people, the largest attendance ever, Council Member Shull reported at the Nov. 4, 2025 city council meeting. Parking was tight.

Citywide Trick or Treat follows on Oct. 29, from 6–8 p.m.
