Tickets for the New Albany Lecture Series' 14th season went on sale Aug. 4, bringing a lineup of nationally prominent speakers to the Jeanne B. McCoy Community Center for the Arts starting next month.

The season opens Sept. 15, with a national security program featuring retired Gen. David Petraeus and former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, moderated by New York Times columnist Bret Stephens. The series' overarching theme ties into the U.S. Semiquincentennial: "America at 250."

Orchestra seats cost $50 and balcony seats $45, according to the New Albany Community Foundation. Seniors 65 and older, veterans, military members, teachers and students can purchase tickets at a discounted $25, though that price applies to only 10% of available seats. All tickets are available at newalbanyfoundation.org.

Five events fill the season.

The foundation, which presents the series, has hosted more than 70 speakers since the program launched. Its companion Student Lecture Series has welcomed more than 37,000 students from 50 central Ohio high schools.

Craig Mohre, president of the New Albany Community Foundation, said the series is built on donor and sponsor support that brings nationally recognized voices to central Ohio. "We are dedicated to hosting open forums that challenge our thinking, bring people together, and keep important conversations moving forward," Mohre said in the foundation's announcement.

Full 2026-27 lineup

Tuesday, Sept. 15: Retired Gen. David Petraeus and Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch on national security, moderated by Bret Stephens.

January 2027: Presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin and Harvard historian Annette Gordon-Reed celebrate "America at 250," moderated by LBJ Foundation Chairman Mark Updegrove.

February 2027: Former House Speaker Paul Ryan (2015–2019) and former South Carolina state Rep. Bakari Sellers on civil discourse, moderated by BBC Studios correspondent Katty Kay. The program is underwritten by The Barbara and Philip Derrow Family Foundation through The New Albany Center for Civil Discourse and Debate.

March 2027: Harvard professor and bestselling author Arthur Brooks on health and wellbeing, interviewed by Pelotonia Vice Chair Doug Ulman.

April 2027: CNBC "Squawk Box" co-anchor and DealBook founder Andrew Ross Sorkin on the economy, interviewed by Financial Times Associate Editor Rana Foroohar.

Specific dates for the January through April programs have not been announced. The foundation's website lists updates as they become available.
