Dutch Bros Coffee plans to open a drive-thru shop at 9930 Johnstown Road in New Albany before the end of 2026, according to the Columbus Dispatch.
The New Albany location is one of three Central Ohio shops the Arizona-based coffee chain has in the works, 614Now reported Oct. 22. A company spokeswoman told the Dispatch the shop, near hotels just northeast of the Smiths Mill Road and Walton Parkway intersection, should open this year.
No exact opening date has been announced.
The city of New Albany's project updates page lists Dutch Bros as an active commercial construction project. The 986-square-foot building is described as a new drive-thru, with MRP Design and Construction as the contractor.
Dutch Bros is also building a location at 5344 W. Broad St. in Prairie Township, which the spokeswoman said should open by the end of the year. A third shop at 5939 Sunbury Road in Blendon Township will follow in early 2027, according to the Dispatch.
The New Albany was one of three previously announced locations, followed by the fourth in Reynoldsburg, 614Now reported. No timeline has been set for that location.
Brothers Dane and Travis Boersma founded Dutch Bros in 1992 in Grants Pass, Oregon. The chain has grown to about 1,300 locations in 27 states, with five currently in Ohio: two in Cincinnati, two in Dayton and one in Milford.
Residents can track construction progress on the city's project updates page.
